James E. Combs

COMBS, James E. Age 56 of Grove City and formerly of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord Saturday February 4, 2006 at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born February 22, 1949 in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Tilton and Callie Combs. Mr. Combs was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and worked as a welder. He is survived by his son, David Zeke Combs and his daughter, Meagan Combs, both of Hamilton; his granddaughter, Kodie Combs of Stanton, Kentucky; one brother, George (Cathy) Combs of Hamilton; four sisters, Brenda (Merrill) Brown and Ruth (Gary) Boggs, both of Columbus, Drucilla Timler and Chelsea Bischoff, both of Hamilton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Cindi Good of Columbus, and friends of the Welcome Home Warrior Group. Mr. Combs was also preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis "Butch" Combs and John Combs, and a sister, Roselee Bowling.  The funeral service was held at 7P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ron Wright officiating. Graveside committal service took place at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 8, 2006 in Rest Haven Cemetery, Stanton, Kentucky.
